Our workshop

Built in Lucknow, by people who have been doing this for years.

Our workshop sits behind the showroom at Diptyganj, Nilmatha. Timber is stored and seasoned there, cut there, joined there, upholstered there and finished there — which is why we can tell you honestly what we can and cannot build.

No piece leaves without being checked twice: once by the craftsman who made it, and once by the team who will install it in your home.

Step 01
Wood Selection
We buy seasoned, kiln-dried timber and select boards by grain, colour and moisture content before anything is cut.
Step 02
Cutting
Panels and members are cut to size with the grain running the way the finished piece demands.
Step 03
Joinery
Structural joints are cut by hand, so load paths run through timber rather than through fixings.
Step 04
Upholstery
Seats are built up layer by layer, then upholstered by hand with stitching that follows the shape of the frame.
Step 05
Sanding
Surfaces are worked down through successive grits until the timber is flat, uniform and ready to take finish.
Step 06
Finishing
Hard-wax oil is worked into the grain by hand, feeding the wood instead of coating it under a plastic film.
Step 07
Quality Inspection
Every piece is checked for alignment, finish, hardware action and stability before it is packed for delivery.
